It’s been a decade, Julie Baker built a chicken diaper business. It started when his eight-year-old daughter, Bridget brought her chicken into the house and made it dirty.
“Chicken is a puppet version of American Girl for him, so he always plays with them and makes a mess at home. They will leave wet dirt several times per hour. So we just think of making diapers,” Julie said as quoted by Moneyish.
This woman from New Hampshire then found some chicken diaper tutorials on Youtube, and made them from cotton with various motifs such as polka-dot and floral motifs coated with waterproof nylon. Julie has also sold 500 to 1000 diapers every month that can be reused and can be machine washed.
In 2010 Julie then made a chicken diaper online store called “Pampered Poultry”. He can also get $ 50 thousand a year from the chicken diaper business.
Julie has sold diapers in 50 states. This 47-year-old woman also not only sells chicken diapers but also chicken dresses.
