SITE intelligence observer organization on Tuesday (31/7/2018), said in the video the two men are kneeling at the mercy of two armed men.
The two men are Japanese journalist Jumpei Yasuda and Italian citizen Alessandro Sandrini featured in two separate videos.
So far SITE has not mentioned the name of the organization that held the men hostage. Jumpei is allegedly kidnapped by Al-Qaeda-affiliated Front Al-Nusra group, in northern Syria in 2015.
In the video Jumpei calls himself Korean-style but speaks Japanese. In the video Jumpei said the recording was made on July 25 and then conveyed himself in poor condition and pleaded for help.
While in a separate video, Sandrini gave a different date that is July 19th. He also said the video was his last request to the Italian government.
Sandrini was kidnapped in Turkey in October 2016 before being taken to Syria. Similarly reported various Italian media. Sandrini is believed to be from the city of Brescia and 32 years old.
