The Yogyakarta Special Region Regional Police apologized for the actions of its members who posed to step on the carcass of a shark. The three policemen were questioned by provos and threatened with punishment.
“The member has been examined by the Provos and is being investigated what type of punishment is appropriate,” said Head of the Yogyakarta Police Public Relations, AKBP Yuliyanto, Tuesday (08/28/2018).
Yuliyanto said the three members had regretted. “The member has regretted his behavior,” he explained.
Even so, Yuliyanto confirmed that other police officers who were at the location of the shark were helped to secure and bury the carcass.
“Members take part in the autopsy process or take blood samples of the shark and the process of burying fish, members of the Polair Police special area of Yogyakara” he added.
Previously reported, a shark was stranded on the lips of Parangkusumo Beach, Monday (27/8) at 4:30 a.m. The shark is about 4 meters long and weighs about 1 ton. Initially the shark was found to be still alive, but some time later it died.
Before the shark was buried, it turned out that there were police who photographed the carcasses of sharks while stepping on. The incident happened on Monday (8/27) morning.
