Ibrahimovic and Beckham, who once played together at Paris Saint-Germain, are both confident ahead of a duel involving their respective countries in the 2018 World Cup quarter-finals.
At first Ibrahimovic was the one who challenged Beckham. Participating in the challenge, the draw when both are still defending their respective national teams, in a Swedish match with England in 2001.
“Yo, Beckham, if England wins I’ll treat you to dinner anywhere in the world, but if Sweden wins you have to buy me all the stuff I want from Ikea,” he said.

Beckham, a former British mainstay who is now retired playing football, abstains from challenging the challenge. The 43-year-old man even challenged Ibrahimovic’s back with a bigger gamble.
“If Sweden win, I will personally take you to Ikea and buy whatever you want for your new mansion in LA,” he said.
“But if England win, I challenge you to come and watch England at Wembley, wearing a British jersey and eating fish and chips at half-time,” Beckham said, referring to a typical British snack.
