Cristiano Ronaldo made a hat-trick as Portugal drew 3-3 against Spain in the 2018 World Cup. After the incident, Isco admitted he did not want to talk to Ronaldo again.
Ronaldo and Isco are the mainstay of Real Madrid. Both became an important pillar of Madrid in the Champions League title last season. Even so, at the national team level are all different.
Isco became the mainstay of La Furia Roja and became a starter against Portugal. Performanya pretty slick at that, but could not match the level of Ronaldo who appeared phenomenal.
The player also expressed his feelings when he knew friends who become rivals are performing so extraordinary. Isco made an interesting comment even with a joke.
“Do not talk to me about Ronaldo, I’ll talk to him again what happened (hat-trick to the Spanish goal),” Isco said with a laugh.
“He probably did not have a lot of shots, but when he was in his day, the first two goals gave him confidence and made him look for the hat-trick,” he continued.
Spain became one of the few big teams that found no maximum results in the first game. Brazil and Argentina are just a draw, while defending champions Germany suffered defeat.
“In the World Cup things get complicated, you have to spend 200 percent of the ability on each game and when you’ve done that no one guarantees victory,” said the midfielder.
“All the teams are very motivated and there are some very strong teams that make things even harder,” Isco added
