Moscow – Cristiano Ronaldo became Europe’s most scored goals in international matches. He surpassed Ferenc Puskas’s goal record.
Ronaldo scored in the fourth minute when Portugal face Morocco at Luzhniki Stadium on Wednesday (20/06/2018) , in the second matchday of Group B 2018 World Cup.
With that goal Ronaldo broke the record 84 goals of Puskas as Europe’s most fertile player in the international arena. Ronaldo is currently collecting 85 goals in international action.
Ronaldo earned 85 goals from 152 appearances for Portugal, while Puskas scored 84 goals from 85 appearances for Hungary.
If sorted overall, Ronaldo is in second position as the top scorer for the national team in the world. He still lost to Iranian Ali Daei, who has 109 goals from 149 appearances.
Ronaldo has temporarily led the World Cup 2018 top scorers list with four goals. He is one goal ahead of the Russian, Denis Cheryshev.
