Fred, who is a midfielder, is predicted to be wearing the number 16 following his move from Shakhtar Donetsk.

In the Manchester Evening News record, before this number was used by Michael Carrick for 12 years before retiring. Former captain Roy Keane used the number 16 for the same time period in his career at United.
Dalot, a full-back, can use the number 22. The numbers have also been used by John O’Shea, Paul Scholes for 18 months when he got back from retiring in January 2012, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan for 1.5 years at MU.

If you look at rumors about MU interest in Willian, it should be remembered also that the number 22 is used by him at Chelsea. There is a possibility he will be handed over the number if it really reunites with Jose Mourinho this summer.
Number 10 back MU is also currently vacant with the move Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who had used the number in his second season with The Red Devils. Earlier the number was charged by Wayne Rooney.

There is also a back number 13 which is still vacant since the last time used by Anders Lindegaard, who moved to West Brom in 2015.

Other vacant numbers include 26, 28, and 30 after Shinji Kagawa, Morgan Schneiderlin, and Guillermo Varela in the last few seasons. The possibility of hijrahnya Daley Blind and Matteo Darmian can also make numbers 17 and 36 vacant.
