The meeting between Costa Rica and Serbia that took place at Samara Arena on Sunday (17/06/2018) night local time, ended a goalless draw in the first round.
The new impasse broke out for Serbia in the second half. Kolarov scored a goal through a free kick, which brought Serbia to win its first game in the 2018 World Cup.
These results make Serbia temporarily lead Group E with three points, while Costa Rica is at the bottom of the standings. The other matches in this group will bring Brazil together with Switzerland which took place on Monday (6/18/2018)
Costa Rica immediately appear pressing at the beginning of the game. Two shots were successfully released within five minutes, but none led to the Serb goal.
Serbia made a new threat in the seventh minute. Kolarov fired speculation from outside the penalty box, but the ball has not met the target.

Serbia threatened Costa Rica’s goal in the 77th minute. Milinkovic-Savic cross on the right side can be deflected by Navas before being struck by Mitrovic who stood in the mouth of goal.
