Alexander Acosta, Law School Dean, Is Trump’s New Pick for LaborDonald Trump has nominated this Thursday as secretary of labor to Alexander Acosta, that could be the first Hispanic member of his cabinet. Acosta, a Cuban-American in Miami and titled by Harvard which is currently dean of the faculty of law of the Florida International University, was the first Hispanic who rose to the position of assistant to the attorney general of the United States. Acosta, who has also worked in the private sector and to a judge of the supreme court, has passed on three occasions ratification processes in Congress. Made it to the post of assistant to the attorney-General, as district attorney in Florida and also when he was appointed to the National Council of industrial relations, in which he served in the presidency of George w. Bush from December 2002 to August 2003.
