Cruiser Dmitrii Donskoi was found at a depth of more than 400 meters about 1.6 kilometers off the coast of the island of Ulleungdo, South Korea.
The joint team consisting of experts from South Korea, Britain and Canada discovered the wreck on Sunday (7/19).
Reported by the Telegraph, they used two submarines to record the video of the warship. The company behind this invention promised to use part of the money earned to build a Russian-South Korean connecting rail.
The submarine’s video showed severe damage from fighting with a Japanese warship in May 1905.
The footage also shows cannons and weapons covered in marine biota, as well as anchors and rudders of the ship.
“The hull was severely damaged by gunfire, the stern was nearly broken, but the deck and the side of the ship were still intact,” the inventor company, Shinil Group, said in a statement.
